Who is BarChick?
Now that would be telling, and it would ruin all the fun! Even BarChick’s lovers have no idea of the full extent of her antics. All you need to know is that we love bars, we are very good at drinking, and we love anyone who loves BarChick! Simple really.
Plus since BarChick’s mother began to worry about her liver, we have added a few more strings to our bow in the form of the BarChicklet (the Robin to BarChick’s batman), BarChick’s Boss (the one who runs the show, and makes us come to work despite hangovers / lack of sleep – she’s the best even if we don’t let on at 9am on a Friday morning), ProBarChick (ex bar manager of the Savoy, and Four Seasons in New York. This Chick knows her sh*t, and can teach all of us a thing or two), then we have the little guys: Fresher, New Girl and the Hot Intern (it’s a boy!) and well these guys make all sorts of things happen, and we would be lost without them, they are basically BarChicks in training, and they are doing better than we ever expected, oops.

After months and months of ‘research’ (boozing), geeky wizardry and arguing about whether or not we should have a ‘K’ in our name, we welcome you, with open arms/ livers to the improved BarChick 2.0 – the ultimate bar resource for all you thirsty punters.
Plus, whether you’re at home or abroad, BarChick has got your back and has done the tourist thang for you, so you don’t have to. Ditch your map and just get the app…it’s free to download (helpful and generous).
Main thing you’ll need to understand is that everywhere listed on the site is good, in its own special way. It’s not just about fancy hotel bars selling fifty quid truffle Martinis, and it’s definitely not about your local Wetherspoons curry night. You can work that out for yourself. We’re looking for places with character, a bit of a story but ultimately the perfect day/night/week out. So, if you are searching for a certain bar and it’s not listed, don’t bin BarChick, it’s because it isn’t worth a visit (or perhaps we need to know about it). BarChick might be particular, but she is definitely not lazy…she’s worn down her heels all around town/ the world so that you don’t have to pay a visit to the cobblers.
Unlike some of the other crappy bar websites you’ve probably visited, BarChick is totally independent. At least, we will be until someone starts handing over big cash to influence us (see contact page, booze people)…but that’s not to say we will join the bar review graveyard.
