Azteca

The original bad-ass Kings Road tequila temple

If you’re on the Kings Road and looking for fun there really is only one place for it… Azteca. Escape the hordes of red trouser wearing locals on the streets and head to this wicked Mexican joint for tequila, tacos and dancing. Mexican mayhem is pretty standard in here, and it’s definitely not shy of a bit of table top dancing and sombrero wearing (you will have to stand on tables to get them down so you might as well dance while you’re at it).

The Margaritas in here are damn good, you won’t want to stop at one so we say get the sharing Margarita for four. Definitely order some tequila shots (when in Rome, right?), there’s over 110 bottles to choose from… if you’re a tequila nut or are really trying to impress (like BarChick’s date) we say go for the Reserva de la Familia Jose Cuervo, it’s £40 a shot, but well worth it.

If you’re not into your tequila (what are you doing in here?) they have a decent range of other booze and can easily make a good Whisky Sour or a Long Island Iced Tea amongst classics. Sunday nights are awesome and as the most of the KR is off to bed, Azteca is just getting started.
