Running of the Bulls Festival

If, like BarChick, you like the idea of being chased by a group of around 12 irritable bulls then this is the one for you (BarChick’s dad goes every year)! Whilst wearing a white shirt and trousers with a red neckerchief the aim is to try and slap the bull on the back with a newspaper… but avoid touching the horns or tail as you will offend the locals. Big Rooftop Tea & Golf Party with Bompas & Parr

From their experiments in synaesthesia, their architectural jelly, their Wonka-inspired flavour-changing chewing gum or their Gin and Tonic mist that you inhale, these guys are always up to something a bit strange. As part of Selfridges’ Big British Bang (a homage to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics), Bompas & Parr have transformed the shop’s rooftop into a 9-hole, cake-based, crazy golf course that’ll be open between 12pm-7pm throughout the summer.
