Babylon Beach looks set to be a new local fave. Peaceful, tranquil and with a view to die for, this rustic, timbered paradise is specifically down tempo. Fronted by Vaughan – host of Pacha’s Funky Room, this is where those in–the-know go.

BarChick comes here to get her game face on before heading to the markets in the North of the island. Open throughout the day and into the pre-club evening hours, you can chill or go large here, tea or Tanqueray, the choice is yours.

Opt for a table on the terrace or one of the wooden sun loungers on the waterfront. There’s no sand here (thank god) but BarChick did find the short drop from the rocks to the sea slightly alarming, especially after our third Margarita. Food is organic and the cocktails are of course served chilled.
