Barchick Says
If you’re exploring Ibiza town and you’re sick of all the sangria then make sure you wind your way to Sushiya for something a little less Spanish and for a bottle of really good sake and some incredible fresh sushi. Madrid-born Elena and her Japanese husband Hideki have found the smallest bar/restaurant that BarChick has ever set foot in, tucked away in a courtyard off Carrer de Vista Alegre (a steep path which heads up hill off Carrer de la Mare del Deu near the base of the Old Town).
Sit outside in the square and watch the sleepless ravers getting lost trying to find the legendary Tahiti Tattoo which is just outside the square. If there’s no room outside, perch inside at the sushi bar (they haven’t gone to town on the interior decoration but who cares – Hideka working in such a confined space is entertainment enough). This place is unlike any other on the island, and a must for any Japanese food lover out on the town!
