Bibis Italianissimo

BARCHICK SAYS

If you’re in Leeds but are in fact looking for a little bit of Las Vegas with a touch of French brasserie, then head to Bibis. There’s the Art Nouveau decoration, an impressive oval-shaped bar, mini palm trees and raised seating for eating. The crystalised over-the- top 70’s styled lamp shades and chandeliers hang over red velvet sofas complete with reclining customers. This place gets busy but you definitely want to hit it on a Wednesday or Sunday when the impersonator shows are on - take your pick from a bit of Buble or Diana Ross, awesome.

Take a seat at the bar and let the menu take you from classics to cabaret style, short and long. BarChick went for the Cherry Spritz with Cherry Heering Liqueur, morello cherry puree and prosecco while her mate sipped on a Gingerbread La Altena, tequila with a touch of spices.

The loos are all big mirrors and dressing room light bulbs, we wouldn’t be surprised if you found a crew of Mafia wives touching up their make-up and talking with twangs. Innit.
