Boma

BARCHICK SAYS

Wandsworth Bridge Road isn’t normally known as the place to get great cocktails but if you look closely you’ll notice Boma, a sweet little bar and restaurant which will not only feed, but also water you.

Don’t be fooled by the basic décor, but do go for lunch and tuck into some good wines and affordable proseccos whilst feasting on moules marinière or steak tartar.  The heated / shaded terrace at the front will keep you warm for most of the year and is definitely the best place to park yourselves, and since the boys at Boma encourage all day boozing (of course!), then go for breakfast outdoors (their Elderflower Bellini tends to be a common sidecar to their Eggs Royale!).

Their Bloody Marys are killer too (they make em with horseradish and chilli and lemongrass infused vodka – show offs) and go down very well before their ceremonious Sunday Roasts. Cocktails ? Well if your date’s boring you to death go for the Six Digit Homewrecker, charmingly named after an inebriated customer (a blend of 6 spirits shaken with fresh lemon onto rocks charged with Red Bull) – sounds gross but it hits the spot after a long day! Or just go for one of the classics, they’re all really good. Boma is all about the cocktails, fine by us!
