BARCHICK SAYS

This rooftop bar in Shoreditch is slick enough to rival its notorious neighbour Shoreditch House. With blankets and an open wood furnace for chillier days, and fairy lights and a weatherproof pergola for night time boozing it’s good to see all bases covered. Needless to say that when the sun decides to show its face The Boundary becomes somewhere worth pitching up for an entire day. Terrace tanning is where it’s at London.

Open all day every day of the year, whatever the weather cocktails, wine, beer and bubbles are all equally bang on and food is not to be missed. We drank the Elderflower Slim (Grey Goose La Poire, Ketel One, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur) and followed it with Hot Toddys as the weather grew cooler (Bulleit Bourbon, Johnnie Walker Black Label, Cointreau, sweet spices and lemon).

100-plus-year-old olive trees and a unique humidor that was purchased at auction in Cuba make this a seriously picturesque experience, not to mention the log cabin loos and the 360 degree views of London.
