Cheese and wine, beer and pretzels, Champagne and hotdogs…? Yep, you heard us correctly. Charlotte Street’s BubbleDogs have brought this adventurous pairing into our lives, with a menu of killer hotdogs and gorgeous Grower Champagnes, it’s an unlikely combo, but you’ll be surprised how well it works. If Champagne’s not your thing the bartenders Curly and Shane know their stuff, sit at the bar and work your way through their cocktail menu. The chef is ex-Noma, and his fancier ‘Kitchen Table’ caters to more sophisticated diners in the back, but we’re happy pigging out on the hotdog menu. Our favourite, the BLT dog, comes with bacon, truffle mayo and caramelized lettuce, or try a Breakie with egg fried into the dog. For those who prefer to wash their hotdogs down in a more traditional manner, they also have beer. Woof.
