These guys previously had their fingers in all sorts of pies but are now buckling down for the winter in a wicked space on Kingsland Road. The couple who set it up are multi-talented party people: on the interior side is Katie who’s done elaborate hand drawings covering every bit of the walls. Adam is on the cooking side of things with his delicious creations that have gained fame from a previous project the “The Stew House.” The tables and chairs are every inch a stew house vibe, chunky and wooden with room for parties or romantic tables for two. They have a resident DJ in the corner and once the weekend rolls by you can expect the tables and chairs to be pushed right back for things to get a little wild.

Their cocktail menu is just how we like it: curated with love and a lot of booze – and it will be changing on a monthly basis. We got stuck in to The Foreigner made with tequila, Aperol, St Germain and when you get to the bottom there’s a hibiscus flower – so good, eat it! Don’t think we’ve seen such big pots of stew before, there’s a couple of choices to go for but to be honest they all taste pretty damn good and come with freshly baked bread for dipping. It’s the perfect hangout for a winter evening. Stews and cocktails are a surprisingly awesome combo! We just hope it booms so big we see it outlive its 6 month stint and greet us in the summer.
