What to Order

Nestled amongst a healthy selection of gin cocktails, the Saffron Negroni stands out in the crowd– saffron gin, Aperol and Martini Rosso.

Barchick Says

Entering in through the sweet shop you would mistakenly think that this angelic spot has nothing but knitting and Michael Jackson mask cards to hide behind. Look again and head down the seductive red staircase to the once sex shop now cocktail and dance den. The strong black and white themed room houses ghetto blasters, tables for two, candlelit corners and 20′s music, whilst the red glow subtly hints back to the seedier days of when King’s Cross was awash with ladies of the night.

The cocktails are old classics with a twist and they have a range of 30 specialty gins on offer. Depending on which member of staff has made the best cocktail that week depends on what is on the specials board. BarChick loved the Homewrecker, nothing like a hint of chilli to set your night off with a bang. Tea time had passed when we were there but ask nicely and you can order treats from upstairs, which looks a little like the Mad Hatter’s tea party. DJs hit the decks from Fridays onwards when they open up a whole new room to house your dancing moves.

With the biggest sweet tooth in town BarChick had to stop off at the counter on the way out. If the pink and white striped bags aren’t enough to bring back the childhood memories then check out the jars filled with shrimps, gob stoppers and rhubarb & custards – f*ck yeah!
