Think Cluedo, Sherlock and 20’s Prohibition and you are on the right lines. First things first, you better come loaded with a good case and a ton of detective chat,  cos you have some role play to do if you want to make it through that bookcase and into the bar.

It’s dark, sultry and the mood is set with crackly Boardwalk Empire style music. The walls are dark green and crumbly, a stag’s head looks on, an old sewing machine awaits use... and if you creep behind the bar you’ll find the beer dispensed through an old radiator. Take a pew at the bar, admire the beautiful glass liqueur cabinets and apothecary drawers and get yourself a drink, the rustic menu is like a history lesson and it offers some sexy twists on classics.

Stay on and eat. Especially if you like your wings and ribs, skip the regular mac & cheese and get them 'on steroids', they rock. Be sure to book because the detective likes an appointment - but if you wanna try your luck you'd better have a serious case on your hands.
