BarChick doesn't normally write about pubs, but this one is just too good to miss, and with no decent bars nearby we're making an exception.  It's tucked away behind the barrier of this sweet Chelsea/Fulham mews, just out of the shadows of Stamford Bridge football stadium. So be warned, that on Chelsea's match days the place turns from a laid back pub to an overflowing blue shirt wearing c*ck fest.

Ben and Lyn run it and have done for years, they're just great, and good to know if you want to get into the pub when the game is on.  By winter you sit by the fire, plus they let you play the piano if you fancy. It's simple pub grub at lunchtimes (and evenings too if you book in advance or beg). We say eat crisps n' play darts with the locals and Al the barman, and don't neglect the marquee covered garden, perfect for a fag or fresh air. Not convinced? Well where else can you take broken shoes and return 2 days later to find them cobbled back to perfection?  Exactly - just don't do this on a whim and walk home barefoot, not a good look in this posh part of town.
