Park Lane has got hot (and very expensive) competition when it comes to bars, but if you’re into breathtaking views whilst enjoying your favourite tipple then this place wins hands down. The Hilton lobby is not the classiest place to hang/be seen/check into so heads down and aim straight for “Lift A”, and it’s the 28th floor you’re heading to. If you get there early enough then grab a sofa by the window and enjoy everything that the floor to ceiling windows show off.
It’s got a kinda loungey library feel with dark leather chairs and a cool, calm atmosphere. The drinks menu is extensive, adventurous and includes over 55 whiskies for you to sample (good luck). There’s something for everyone on the cocktail front, we drank 1930’s inspired before dinner, and after dinner we chose Champagne and tea infused. We loved the Galvin’s Garden made with gin, apple juice, elderflower, cucumber and peach bitters. The bar snacks also went down a treat: deep fried artichokes with mayonnaise and potted shrimp, but if we were picking favourites, it would have to be the classic scotch eggs.
