If you’re not keen on the idea of eating steak whilst being watched over by a cow in formaldehyde then look away now. Mark Hix’s new Tramshed is, as it sounds, a massive shed. Plus Damian Hirst’s eerie if you’re veggie slash f*cking cool Cock and Bull installation is one incredible decoration. Sadly the size of the place means the acoustics aren’t so great, so it’s probably better to take a group of rowdy mates than an intimate date, unless her chat stinks – in which case it’s perfect!

As usual Nick Strangeway has designed the cocktail menu and you’ll see a few familiar drinks, like the Hix Fix, and Mark’s bottled cocktails, we liked the Campari based Twitter and Bisted. A section of the menu is dedicated to local beers and ciders, don’t leave without trying the Burrow Hill Pear cider. The menu, like the decor, is minimalist. Apart from the bar snacking menu, you have a choice of steak or chicken, and the whole roast chicken, presented perching magnificently on a skewer, is delicious. There’s also a take away counter for a quick steak sandwich or coffee. Typical Mr Hix has thought of everything.
