Barchick Says
Bulgari have gone to town building their hotel and we’d expect nothing less from such flashy Italians. It’s got more going on than most hotels in this part of town: endless underground spas, ballrooms, a 25m pool, a “vitality” pool, gold leaf murals and onyx walls (so no sign of cut backs in here). The bar has not been neglected either, with polished mahogany walls, mirrored surfaces and a big stainless steel oval bar. It screams session, not recession. With a lovely cocktail menu made up of bespoke classics and Bulgari cocktails, you will be sure to find something that hits the spot: the Au Thé Vert is designed to taste just like the designer scent should, with Beefeater Gin, lemon, oak moss syrup, jasmine tea and orange blossom. They also have a healthy amount of bellinis, taking inspiration from both England and Italy, they are unlike any other (expect things like a Carrot & Lavender Bellini or a Cherry & Pistachio one – interesting and delicious!)
If you’re feeling the pinch of the pricey drinks, then cash in with the amazing free bar snacks: bresaola, focaccia, olives and mini peppers stuffed with feta, you can clean up here. But for those of you who don’t give a sh*t and are really splashing out / just fancy yourself as a bit of a don then hit the indoor cigar shop – buy a cigar, and get smoking in this slick (ventilated) havana haven.
These Bulgari boys sure know how to look after you, enjoy.
