From a little 20 seater shipping container in POP Brixton to the prideland aka Soho, Kricket is nailing it and there’s a damn good reason why. The food is bl**dy perfect. Had more of Dishoom's bacon naans than you care to remember? It’s time to branch out and Kricket should be first on your list.
This place is a memoir of their time spent living and working in Mumbai and everything from the décor and music to the food and Espresso Chaitinis (HELLO) are inspired by it. Think little modern plates of food combining local British ingredients with the authentic spices and flavours of India. Note to all - the Keralan fried chicken with curry leaf mayonnaise is next level snackage.
Kricket Soho has got an open kitchen with counter dining and a swish private dining space but you’ll find us in the cocktail bar trying out their punchy India-inspired drinks. First on our list is the Chaitini with vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, coconut milk and chocolate bitters. Then maybe the Session Margarita. OK who are we kidding? We’ll take them all.
