Set on the canal in the super cool Broadway Market is this laid back bar n restaurant from the man behind Benugo (their eggs Benedict bun thing rocks). The idea here was to recreate the spirit of the classic Italian “Formica” cafés of the 1950s and 60s. Whatever that is, we like it! It’s kinda kitsch décor, lots of wood, nice lighting and mish-mashed wallpaper. Oh and we loved their loos.

Sit in the bar area, and get the drinks in, expect British classics with some Italian influences; Espresso Martinis, Aperol Spritz, Bloody Marys and plenty of beers n wines. We shared the Fruit Cup, which is made for 2, it was strong and full of fruit, although we reckon you could handle it solo. The food here is great, so relocate to the restaurant or enjoy it in the bar, it’s all very laid back in here, and the crazy Italian staff will be sure to entertain you. The mozzarella was awesome; in fact it all was if you’re into British and Italian food. From the small plates to the big plates, you’ll be well fed and watered in here.
