Barchick Says
When you step inside The Shed you step right out of London (but then again Richard and Oliver, the brothers who set this place up always wanted to recreate an atmosphere like their rural lifestyle back in Nutbourne, Sussex). Them boys done good, it’s pretty special in here (so don’t go telling the office idiot about this place). Head straight to the bar and get their Daily Loosener, when we were there it was made with homemade, home-foraged elderberries, Sipsmith gin and tonic, and it was kind of perfect.
Drink in hand, take in your surroundings. The bar is an old roof, a tractor bonnet hangs above it (big up John Deer), ladders hang on the ceiling and old cartwheels are pinned to the walls. Move through to the restaurant, the tables are old barrels with wooden tops and the waitresses wear cowboy shirts and tool belts. It’s all very rustic, not only would Mum love it but so would your mates, and your dates. It will always deliver.
Foraging is the name of the game in here, so rest assured that all the ingredients are fresh and a little wild, nice. Tuck into the ‘mouthfuls’ and choose from slow cooking or fast cooking, then finish with a homemade pudding. It’s all delicious, trust us. You won’t want to leave and you might just fall in love with the place (and possibly one of the brothers). See you soon boys.
