Looking for something a little saucy to do? BarChick was...so after a massive brunch and a few hair of the dog revivers, she headed down to Volupté for a cheeky bit of Burlesque, perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Armed with a hot date (optional, not necessary) she hit the cocktails before the show: the Basil and Hibiscus Daiquri served with a delicious sugared hibiscus flower (yes it’s edible) was the most memorable, and her date loved the Pornstar Martinis.
Happily installed at a little table laden with yummy finger sandwiches, cakes and a whole load of crockery, BarChick felt like she was at her nan’s for tea (with the addition of fishnets and thongs) …then Spencer the Devil took to the floor and things started to heat up. With the audience a little hot under the collar after a devilish ditty about orgasms, BarChick’s date was enticed on stage and made to do a dance of his own... even opting to bear his own nipples which fortunately for BarChick were tassel-less (saved a world of awkwardness). Amateurs aside, the pros were amazing and all of the different dances were unique in their own way, from hilarious to sexy they have something for everyone (even a chav act!)..plus it's all washed down with a teapot of Hot Toddy cocktail.
So from Burberry nipple tassels to a magician swallowing a gigantic balloon... BarChick had an awesome time and left with a Burlesque induced spring in her step and her mind racing with ideas on how to deck out her own pair of nipples... watch this space!

Creations include the electric blue ‘Candy Cane’ – made from Koko Kanu, blue curaçao, Lichi Li liqueur and gin, served with a striped candy cane – and ‘Liquorice Lady’ – made from black sambuca and vodka, garnished with a liquorice lace. Yummy!
