The Mandarin Bar is everything you might expect from a 5 star Knightsbridge hotel: glamorous, decadent, expensive... but when the drinks are this good, who cares?  BarChick was uncertain when the maître d' beamed with pride that the bar was just a serving area or "catwalk" for a beautiful waitress - but we can assure you the models aren't the ones shaking the drinks, just their assets. Sit at the bar you may get a glimpse of the guys backstage actually making your cocktail - they do exist and they do really know their stuff (they also take their time but the cocktails are worth it).

BarChick started with the Treacle, with Appleton V/X rum, Angostura bitters, sugar and apple, and it was pretty awesome. The Sake Martini is one not to miss - floral, delicious and really smooth.  Soak it all up with some dim sum or some seriously spicy prawns (or you could smooth talk your way into Dinner by Heston next door) and don't forget to finish it all off with the Orient Espresso - a delicious take on an Espresso Martini with their own home-made vanilla infused vodka in the Martini glass' answer to The Shard.
