Barchick Says
If you’re on the hunt for a seriously good cocktail, but don’t feel like drinking it in posh speakeasy surroundings, then this is the place for you. EO is the kind of place where you feel like you’ve crashed someone else’s staff party, it’s busy, friendly and fun. The guys behind the bar are true rockstar bartenders, don’t be fooled by those white suits. Half the crew have the bar’s logo tattooed on their arms, and they manage to pump out old school cocktails with perfection while juggling the six deep crowd at the bar.
They do all the classics well, along with their own signature drinks. This is a good place to order a Manhattan, they make theirs with Rittenhouse Rye. If you’re hungry there’s a great restaurant in the back too, the steak tartare is their signature dish and it’s fantastic. The kitchen closes at 3.30am, our kind of midnight munchies.
It gets busy in here, rammed. Only bring a date if your idea of romance is being squished against them… and someone else! Oh, and there’s a psychic in the entrance reading tarot cards, why not?
Londoners keep an eye out, you might see some home grown talent behind the bar, it’s a common place for London bartenders to pop by and do a guest shift.
