The second bar from the team behind the fantastic Candeleria, Glass is yet another example of Paris’ rocking bar scene. Located in Pigalle, famous for the Moulin Rouge, streetwalkers and all kinds of naughtiness, look out for the purple neon sign, and if it helps at all, the ‘Sex Shop’ next door. Once inside, Glass is small but perfectly formed. We love the dim lighting, disco ball and Billy Idol on the playlist. It’s the kind of place you’d expect to see Slash knocking back a Boilermaker at the bar (basically a beer and a shot of which Glass has a number of great pairings). It’s a bit 80s, a bit hip, a bit Parisian - basically a dive bar with a disco soul. BarChick went for the Carioca slushie cocktail, which we loved so much we had two in a row (cachaca, ruby port, agave syrup, lemon and bitters, served with a ‘naked lady’ stirrer). Grab a hotdog with your drinks and you’re pretty much set for the night, well, apart from the sneaky visit to the shop next door on the way home. Santé!
