After hovering outside the caviar bar (it’s Russia after all), we noticed there were no windows, or punters for that matter, which made it a little unappealing. So we swapped fish eggs for cocktails and headed for the lobby bar instead. An elegant spot with stained glass windows and a jazz pianist that made BarChick want to go full on Fabulous Baker Boys (those guys have got the piano on lockdown).

Settle in amongst tubby international men of mystery and ladies who liquid lunch.We sat at the bar and drank Aviations and Rum Punch, both of which were damn fine plus points for the crazy glassware. Fancy nibbles come as standard and unaffordable whisky and brandy bottles adorn the walls.
