BARCHICK SAYS

This bar is making St Pancras Station a destination in its own right

It's just around the corner from Potter's platform 9¾, but THIS is where the magic really happens. Housed in the St Pancras Hotel and connected to St Pancras Station, Booking Office had a massive glow-up in 2021 with a redesign that was modelled after the original 19th-century ticket hall. The refurbishment turned it into an absolute showstopper, lined with eight-metre-tall palm trees and lit by grand chandeliers meticulously made from hundreds of brass leaves. And then there's the piece de resistance: the 22-metre-long bar, which serves as the work station for Booking Office's bartending team, pristinely clad in white suits. Classy, right?

When it comes to drinks, you can't go wrong by channeling the setting's old-school charm and ordering the classics (these folks make a mean beeswax-infused Martini). But if you're looking to branch out, let the bartenders be your guide. Their seasonal menu is ace, and the team are always playing around with new flavours and techniques that lead to some really special serves. You can also stay for dinner, and keep the party going into the evening thanks to the bar's late licence - it even hosts DJ sets on the weekends. We wouldn't blame ya for purposely missing your train just to stick around here a little longer...
