The Crobar

BARCHICK SAYS

If you’re after a proper rock bar, the Crobar is Mecca for metal heads... and our favourite barmen all seem to love it, so it’s obviously doing something right. Inside, it’s pretty much everything you’d expect – posters, comic book pages, stickers all over the place, a slightly grimy toilet (they seem to use the hose down cleaning method) and tattoo-covered regulars.

The jukebox provides the tunes and if you can find pop music amongst the metal, do it, it's fun watching those meatheads sweat. It’s pretty small in here, but if you can’t find a space at the little tables at the back, you can always take your drink outside. They charge a £2 entry after 11pm, but with prices like this and a 3am licence, it’s probably the best £2 you’ll spend in Soho.

Keep it simple with the drinks – it’s all about Bulleit Bourbon in here, which is only £2.50 with a mixer all night from Monday to Thursday. As if that wasn’t enough, they also have a happy hour every night between 4pm-9pm, otherwise they have plenty of cans and bottles to keep you happy.

Rock out!
