Battersea is full of restaurants but lacking in the bar department. Enter The Lost Angel, a perfect reason to head to this rather quiet part of town. This kitsch neighbourhood hangout has everything you’d want, from real ales and killer cocktails to a mega food menu.
It's as if you're arriving at some regular pub... then you enter into its kooky/mad house interiors. Think old school white London phone box (it doesn’t work), trumpet lights, wicked wallpaper, mannequin legs, granny lamps and a big lit up picture of the Queen - yet somehow the atmosphere remains relaxed!
Although this place is predominantly a bar, Lost Angel has a surprising menu with some awesome food. Sit back on a Sunday with a Bloody Mary and follow it with a bad ass roast in the back room, or sip on a Martini and have some salmon blinis. The drinks here rock, the wine list is long and the beers are from all sorts of fun places - definitely try the Thai one! That said it's the cocktails that dominate here, with something for everyone. BarChick loved the English Gent's Mojito, delicious with all its marmalade bits, if you can get them up your straw.
