This is one busy joint. Brought to Hong Kong by Maximal Concepts, the group behind Blue Butcher and Brickhouse, people get pretty excited about it, as should you. The décor is Nordic-style, light and airy, refreshing for HK where many restaurants seem a bit dark and dingy, and there is a small roof terrace for a cheeky cigarette or breath of fresh(ish) air.
The restaurant has an awesome menu, focused on rustic dishes (fish & meat, obvs) serving the highest quality ingredients and an all-Italian wine list. But we’re here for the cocktail bar. The list is short and simple; seven cocktails in total, with the same take on fresh ingredients as the menu. These barmen are hot, and will shake you up anything else you might want. We like their style though; in a city dominated by lychee Martinis and chocolate rimmed strawberry Daiquiris, this place avoids the sweet, instead focusing on more herbal/vegetable-based cocktails. The Pepperoncini (Ice Fox Vodka, Lillet Blanc, jalepeno & cucumber) is one of our faves, along with the Pesto Martini (Farmers Gin, pine nut syrup, basil & bitters).
