There might be a temptation to go kitsch when opening a British pub in a foreign city, but the trio behind this bar found in the 3rd arrondissement have sidestepped the cliches (no grumpy pork-bellied men or beer-soaked carpets) and prioritised the authentic (a polished oak bar top, racing green walls and laid-back service) while still offering up a bit of legit Parisian charm on the side.

Hit up the bar snack menu for a celebration of all the hearty grub you'd find in a proper English boozer. Of course, they might be British dishes, but they've been made by the French, so expect some next level buttery pastry on the sausage rolls.

The drinks, however, aren't the kind you'd find down your London local. This is a legit cocktail bar, and what they shake up here proves that. Check out whatever variation of their Pimms inspired cocktail they're currently rocking (on our visit, they'd made it to Pimms 4.0) or if you're feeling funky, we say go for the extra-creamy Panais Colada, a twist that uses parsnip, cream, Plantation Original Dark and velvet falernum. Tres bon.
