While it may seem odd including what is basically an off-licence in a bar guide to Beirut, Crew is a real winner. Located in Mar Mikhael, in a perfect spot between two of the most popular bars around, (Internazionale and Radio Beirut), Crew manages a roaring trade. No doubt its popularity has been helped by a recent smoking ban; everyone smokes so now they all hang on the streets.

Selling beer 50% cheaper than its neighbours, those on a budget usually pop in when it's their round, before heading back down the street with their mates unaware (lose the plastic bag). It’s not glamorous and you have to take the beers from the fridge yourself (there's no bar service here) but you don't see many complaining. It's also open long into the night and, with the whole road basically turning into one big party, this is where BarChick gets her drinks in! Street party, Crew’s got your back baby.
