A lonely door stands in the heart of the city center between a pizza place and Semichem, it’s often mistaken for a tattoo studio and some believe it to be haunted. Sounds like a BarChick bar through and through right? Right.

Head up the stairs where this punk-styled bar awaits you. Toys hang all over the place and an extensive and innovative cocktail menu masquerades as a comic book and looks daunting at first; don’t sweat it, knowledgeable bar staff are happy to help. We drank the signature Zombie (an in-house concoction of 12 different types of rum, house foam, lime juice and a couple of bitters), a killer drink (geddit?). Don’t miss the Margarita either, inspired by techniques used in the famous elBulli restaurant in Barcelona, it’ll transport you straight down Mexico way.

Peckish? Bar snacks are bang on. Want somewhere to make shapes after midnight? Check the nightclub upstairs where DJs and current live bands heat up the dance floor. Happy hour is 4pm-7pm Friday and Saturday, hit it.

The motto of the place is "live life abundantly, for what is life but Love & Death." We left this place with nothing but love… and death the following morning.
