This place takes its name from the following inspirations; a Shaking Steven’s record, a dance routine and a vintage porno. Need we go on? With a neon sign lighting the entrance, ring the bell and wait for the hostess to open the (green) door and guide you inside.

Seating is at a premium so be prepared to book ahead or stand. Depending on what you’re into you may be disappointed to discover that there are no pornographic goings on in here. Instead, you’ll find a well-heeled crowd enjoying excellent cocktails.

The retro décor consists of checked wallpaper, vintage photos, random ornaments and an illuminated dog, of course. Laid back music makes it easy to settle and the cocktail list makes it difficult to leave. BarChick was all about the house special Green Door (Champagne based), but to be honest all the drinks on the menu are killer. The owner is playwright Fritz Müller-Scherz, and his jam is all about “the power of positive drinking”. We're in. Oh yeah, and happy hour runs from 6-8 every evening. Win.
