Opened by Sam Goitom in 2011, Kitty Cheng is conveniently located in the stylish Mitte area of Berlin. Relatively small in size this intimate spot is notorious for its wild parties. Unusually for Berlin it looks as if it might not have been anything extraordinary in a former life, and the owner speaks of the extensive remodelling process undertaken to add character, shocker.

With an alter for a DJ booth and disco balls strewn amongst cream sculpted angels and tables made from reclaimed wood, there’s an air of antiquity offset by the desire to party hard, BarChick liked it here a lot. Mingle and make friends; the mixed international crowd are very inviting and you’ll soon have exchanged hot tips for tearing up Berlin in style.

Although this place is fashioned as a cocktail bar the list is standard, you won’t get anything experimental here but you’ll get happily p*ssed nonetheless. Check out the graffiti in the toilets, it’s quite moving after a few bevs, BarChick was blinking back tears obvs.
