Some locals call this ‘the hipster bar’. We can see where they’re coming from: low-watt Edison bulbs, pressed tin ceilings, saloon-style décor, Stumptown coffee, free wifi and an art gallery. It’s more styled than most Nola spots, but all those are good things when done right, which they sure as hell are. In short, we love it and the team here are awesome.

Open from brunch to late, the menu is a collection of the owners’ favourite street food from around the world and is listed by provenance on the menu: Argentinean empanadas, South Korean yakitori, Peruvian ceviche, ramen, kimchi, banh mi etc. Everything is under $10 and served from a cone, eaten with your hands or on a stick, perfect for slightly drunk face-stuffing. The cocktails are also spot on, and we like how they divide the menu into daytime drinking ‘to ease back into it’ and night time. For breakfast we love As I Lay Dying (avocado-fresca, Mosto Vere Pisco and lime) and in the evening Bad Manners does what it says on the tin (Scotch, mescal, honey, Champagne and a dry sherry rinse). But don’t leave without ordering their house Daiq from the slushie machine to go.
