The chalkboard outside reads, ‘money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy you rum’ a bold statement worth making your own mind up about. From the outside this place looks like an ordinary pub, but don’t be fooled, there’re over 100 different rums on offer. Get as tiki as you like or take them straight up, this is one of the biggest rum specialists in the country and they’ve got the skills to handle any request.

Once inside the whole experience can get a little Hook, it’s all wooden and piratey and we’re into it. Go for the window seat, you may have to start a bar brawl to get it but once it’s yours you’ll never let it go. Located right next to the sea in Kemp Town once you’re full of rum why not wobble down the sea front (weather permitting), unless you want to walk the plank. These guys host a free Rum Club on the first Tuesday of every month - get all geeky and sip on experimental cocktails while getting wise, nice.
