The Colour Inn

BARCHICK SAYS

This place is pretty unique as far as bars in Bristol go that don’t fall under the speakeasy category. If you see an 80s film like The Goonies being projected onto the street outside, then you know you’ve arrived. As you walk in the whole of the right hand side of the bar is a mural of Whiteladies Road and its various shops (let’s hope none close down), it’s very colourful, pretty cool and the street lamps work. But don’t get too lost in it because it’s the bar you’re here for, which is decorated in beautiful origami.

Grab a copy of the menu, it's mega; each drink is beautifully drawn by the head bartender and they look so good you’ll want to try them all. Disco drinks are the name of the game in here; we liked the Passionate Lady made with passion fruit, Finlandia Vodka and other delights, and the fail safe Tommy’s Margarita with Casco Viejo Blanco Tequila and lime.

Sit amongst tasselled lamps, vintage telephones and candles and enjoy the beats produced by the DJ (who doubles up as the bar man, or the other way around) oh and dancing isn’t uncommon in here, don't be shy now.
