It's no secret we're mezcal's numero uno fan, so any bar that dedicates itself to the stuff is alright by us - especially one that's pinker than a blushing flamingo at a Pride parade. Expect the vibrancy of Mexico and the sexiness of a 1920s Harlem jazz club in this scarlet basement bar in Stokey. Plush velvet banquette-style seating, low lighting and candles complete the seriously sassy effect. It's a vibe we are here for.

The bar is headed up by Lucia Massey (the brains behind Cuppa Gumbo & Slap Ya Papa) and agave entrepreneur Thea Cumming, founder of Dangerous Don, a wicked mezcal that comes in some next-level flavours. Expect plenty of this stuff on the back bar and in the banging cocktail menu. Speaking of, the Fiorella is always our pick when it comes to mixed drinks. Made with Quiquiriqui mezcal, Italicus, dry vermouth and Empirical Ayuuk, it's a sassy take on a Martini. We'll take three.

To accompany the cocktails, there's tacos from their upstairs neighbours at Tigre Tacos (make sure you order the fish, and be prepared to use a napkin) and live music every night, with a spotlight on female performers. YES QUEEN.
