Mile End may have its fair share of local pubs, but cocktail hangouts they ain’t got… until the East London Liquor Company rolled up to change all that. Bright and airy with simple décor, this place has got a certain classiness. And yes, you may have noticed the super shiny, big f*ck off copper stills at the back of the bar behind glass windows screaming for attention - these guys don’t just make great drinks, they also distill their own gin, vodka, and whisky on site!

Ask for a taster cos they are GOOD. Like what you taste? There's a mini booze shop next door so you can take some home with you – perfect. The drinks list is filled with experimental flavours and boozy measures. BarChick was lucky enough to try out some drinks they were creating for the new menu: watermelon, jalapeños and rum - killer combo. The menu will be changing a lot, maybe even daily so don’t get too comfortable if you’re a regular.

Wanting something to soak up the booze? There's an awesome Italian restaurant - the stone oven makes pizzas we could eat any day. Smaller plates are ideal for snacking, and is that amaro, fernet, vermouth we spy in the drinks section? Warning: If you’re a member at the gym next door this place is certainly gonna test your will power.
