This dark drinking den is what happens when a Russian rock singer and her bearded, burly, skater boyfriend get together, and decide to do a bar. A grungy grotto with stone archways leading into candlelit areas filled with skateboards, surfboards, skeletons, pallets, Persian rugs and the sort of sofas you find by the side of the road. It’s like the living room of those hot, scruffy, skater dudes you fancied in the nineties. By the way, they’re all here too, in the badass back bar, passing around a guitar between shots of Troyano - that's absinthe, grenadine, salt and lemon.

They have live acoustic sessions and a sound system that could knock you out. You’ll mean to go for a quick drink, but you’ll find yourself taking turns to cuddle a chocolate Labrador sprawled on the sofa (people seem to bring their dogs - that's how laid-back it is), or hiding in the dark nooks and crannies behaving badly.
