Stick us on a stool sipping drinks while we wait to order dinner: our happy place. So Kahani in Belgravia was an instant hit. It also helps that this place is seriously beautiful. Gold chandeliers, velvet stools and we wanted to put all the art in our handbag and walk out with it. And that’s before you’ve even seen the cocktails.

Since this is a fine dining Indian restaurant, you’ll spot the usual suspects. We’re talking Tandoori pineapple, star anise, cinnamon powder and saffron & cardamom infused tequila. This latter ingredient is in The SW1 - a showstopper of a cocktail as elegant as the postcode it finds itself in.  Prop yourself at the bar and accompany your drinks with snacks such as Masala grilled avocado or the Samosa platter. Or throw yourself into the Kahani experience and bag yourself a booth and give their signature biriyani a go. Its banging.  Don’t let the Belgravia location make you squirm - okay, you could drop a pretty penny here. But some things are worth it.
