La Commune

BARCHICK SAYS

This is the bar to hit up when you're rolling with your crew in Paris

Bringing some indoor/outdoor tropical curb appeal to one of the city's busiest roads, this is la petite soeur bar to Le Syndicat. With a covered jungle terrace, industrial style corrugated iron walls and plenty of polished concrete and marble, this bar is the epitome of Parisian chic with an edge.

Sharing is caring at La Commune cos this bar is all about the Punch. The balanced, juicy sharing cocktails arrive to your table in ornate copper bowls and a ladle for some self pouring. Like its sis, French spirits are the priority here, but they're giving more of the limelight to their Caribbean territories meaning this is rhum agricole's time to shine. Looking for something with an extra kick? The Caribbean Queen Punch got us hot under the collar with its mash-up of dark rhum, Jamaican pepper, pineapple, ginger beer, lime and pimento peppers. Spicy! Grab a bowl and enjoy it under the canopy of plants on the terrace. And yeah, it might be on one of the busier roads in Paris, but you won't be able to hear the traffic over those sick hip-hop beats coming out the speakers. Pump it up, bebé.
