Behind what looks like an abandoned store covered in posters lies one of the city’s best secret cocktail haunts. It’s all muted lights and mystery in this little speakeasy. Expect a clash of luxury (we're talking marble and fine glassware) with the achingly cool underground (expect concrete and French hip hop beats on the speakers). Look up and you'll see the ceiling peppered with coins that have been wedged into the ceiling from punters past. Keep some spare change in your pocket when you visit so you can leave your own mark.

Obviously, the best stuff is going down behind the bar. These guys are masters in the art of magnificent boozing, and they're doing it the French way, AKA staying 100% loyal to French spirits, so anticipate plenty of Cognac, Armagnac and Calvados in their finest vintage form, lined up as tastings (we sampled an Armagnac from our birth year and it was *chefs kiss*) or shaken and stirred into killer cocktails. Don't expect to see the likes of tequila or Scotch on that back bar, though we definitely recommend trying their Parisian take on a Margarita made with French gin infused with grassy botanicals for an agave vibe.
