Ötkert’s a bar with a split personality. By day it’s a good place to swing by for coffee or a bite to eat, serving traditional goulash soup and hot cheese salads alongside a healthy dose of cocktails to help you through the day. By night, it gets sexy, and after dinner you can head to the club out back and get down’n’dirty to the sounds of the DJ (Tuesday to Saturday).

There’s a few crumbling walls, a lot of contemporary art, some vintage signage and a very well stocked bar. The cocktail menu is large and split into different drink sections so you can turn straight to your favourite poison. Drink classics or try one of the house concoctions if you’re feeling wild.

From international DJs to touring bands, there’s always someone interesting to get the party started, and if you get the midnight munchies the chef will happily whip you up something. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving, and rumour has it they’re opening up a super cool and laidback speakeasy upstairs when you need to chill / make out.
