Although this bar is right on the main square of Ipanema, the neon sign at the entrance reads ‘welcome to the jungle," and baby, you better believe it. Obvs the theme is bananas and naturally that means monkeys too. It’s not unlike some kind of American sports bar, only the walls are lined with pictures of posing monkeys, we think we’re into it.

As for the drinks, they all have a banana twist to them; try the banana beer (surprisingly awesome actually), especially washed down with something from their all American menu (the ribs, hot dogs, burgers and fries were all good).  We rocked up for girls night (obvs) and it was buy one get one free on the drinks, always fun. We chose the Jack Bauer (rum, banana liqueur, coconut milk and condensed milk) and a Banana Jack (cachaça, banana liqueur, condensed milk and chocolate) - when in Rome right?
