From the off-set this pop up looked more permanent than a Sharpie after a night out but we're not complaining. It's the third joint from the guys behind Bone Daddies and Flesh and Buns so the good ingredients have been tried and tested. And it was f*cking popular, so it's now a permanent member of the Soho food crew.
The focus here is on the food and the upstairs restaurant is insane, but as always BarChick's all about the downstairs bar. Make your way through the restaurant, through the door at the back and to the party downstairs. The place is small and most of the other customers are on high-alert for their buzzer to tell them their table is ready, but who cares? If like us, you want drinks, these guys have got 'em.
Make sure you hit up a Frozen Yuzu Margarita for starters - so kitsch it's cool. Next up they've got a selection of Sake, ask the guys behind the bar for advice or make a night of it with their Ume No Yado for £60+ a bottle. They've also got Asahi, wines, and the best kinda Japanese whiskeys.... safe to say there's enough going on down here to keep you off the streets of Soho.
