Another beach bar done well, Shimmy is for those of you who like to look good, people watch and get your pose on - it’s like something out of Ibiza.  Hidden from the main entrance to the Waterfront, it’s easy to miss, but once you find it, it’s like being upgraded from coach to first class.

Split into different sections with sofas, tanning terraces, a beach, an infinity pool, two bars, a hydraulic stage and a huge indoor restaurant there’s room for all, although that being said it can get VERY rammed so be prepared for crowds. Take in the views and surroundings; with a location this good it’s easy to see why it’s popular.

The food on offer is mouth-watering with beef carpaccio, East Coast sole and other freshly sourced dishes to choose from, plus great pizzas for those wanting a more causal vibe (get the lobster one!). Got kids? While you top up your tan as a waiter brings you drinks, you can leave them in the covered shaded kid’s area, now that’s relaxation!

Heads up, they’re shut on Mondays, but they make up for that by being open until 2am every other day of the week... party time! As day turns to night get dancing to the best house beats on the indoor dance floor or check out what’s playing on the stage outside and shake it under the stars… this is the life!

Plus, for the drink connoisseurs out there they also have whisky and vodka tasting rooms available for group bookings… is there anything these guys don’t have?!
