There’s a new player in Chelsea, and we’re not talking about some hot posh kid causing trouble on a reality show. We’re talking about The Cadogan Arms - the hottest property in South West London when it comes to lunching, low key boozing and schmoozing.
One of the best bits about The Cadogan Arms is it still has the charm of an old world pub. There’s the wide shimmering bar you can prop yourself at with a pint, the high tables for perching and picking at a pork and sage scotch egg, the roaring fire for when winter rolls around. But everything has a well-manicured lacquer of refinement. The elaborate corniced ceiling, glittering chandelier and paneled wood lining the peachy walls all mark this out as being a next-level boozer.
Of course, the food here is just as important. Come for the roast - you won’t be disappointed. Kick things off with a Gibson (they do minis, in case pure gin on a Sunday afternoon isn’t your style *wimp*), followed by a Bloody Mary and maybe even a Martini with a side of caviar. Hey, the weekends are for enjoying yourself, right? Then it’s time to tuck in. We’re having the retro revival of a banging prawn cocktail, followed by the softest, most melt-in-the-mouth beef we’ve possibly ever had.
