The Goodtime Hotel is a reimagining of Art Deco, and it looks like it's been plucked straight from BarChick's dream home Pinterest board. It's owned by Pharrell Williams, the un-ageing cool as a cucumber music producer x pop star who has joined forces with a bad-ass design team to make clashing sexy. We're talking muted pastel walls meet bold leopard print accents, while chilled wicker loungers contrast with plush scalloped edge bar seating.
The whole place is an experience from the moment you walk into the atrium entryway filled with tropical plants and decorated with a hand-painted hothouse mural, all of which leads ya through to the lobby. Early risers should ask for a room with a view of the ocean so you can watch the sunrise light up the water, while the Miami sunsets can be seen from the rooms overlooking Biscayne Bay. Whichever one of the 266 rooms you're given, you'll have the pleasure of slumbering in the custom bedding and calling down for room service using the pink rotary phones (take a Gen Z'er and enjoy watching as they try to work out how the f*ck it works).
Strawberry Moon is the hotel's dining centrepiece, where Mediterranean classics with an updated twist are served up with carefree vibes, while The Pool at Strawberry Moon is where you'll find the energy and style of old-world Havana and Beverly Hills come to play. Out here it's a palette of pale mint, coral and white, where palms flank the twin striped pools and candy-striped cabanas are hot property. This is where it pays to be a celeb, but we're all about fakin' it till ya make it, honey, so put on your darkest sunnies and walk in like you own the place and you'll be kicking back with a cocktail in no time.
