Any bar in an Ian Schrager run hotel should be pretty good, I mean the guy basically invented cool hotel bars, oh and he was the founder of Studio 54. Nuff said?… Almost.

Welcome to The Punch Room, the cosier of the bar offerings at the London Edition Hotel, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint – big time London (actually Italian) bartender Davide Segat has put together a menu of punches (hence the name and the collection of vintage silver vessels in the cabinet next to the bar). Each of the concoctions can be ordered in various sizes from individual serves up to major sharing portions, so bring your thirst and bring your crew.

The room feels like a members club, with wood panelled walls, a tiny bar and stunning staff. The sofas by the fire are where you want to be, you'll feel like royalty. Order the house Edition Punch made with Tanqueray and oak moss syrup and settle in with friends, or the stronger Oxford Punch, a mix of port, Cognac, rum, green tea and sherbet. Oh, and if the 1am closing time is too early for you head below to the downstairs club, it’s open until 2am, but right now it’s invite only, so get schmoozing.
