This place is ridiculously grand, with higher than high ceilings, iron chandeliers, angelic statues, glass domes, leather booths, marble and two mirrored bars... should we go on? It's like something out of Cinde-freakin-rella (especially with those elaborate arm chairs that look like mini carriages).

Although this place may look like it's made for the high rollers, the price ranges don't match; with cocktails at £5.95 and main courses at 11 quid you can bring a first date here and seriously impress without breaking the bank at all. Deal.

The drinks aren't show stopping but with that price range we think they're perfect. Say yes to the Raspberry and Elderflower Collins. Oh and ask for the damage, not the bill as that's what they call it. Just remember, hide it from your date and they'll never know you've secretly got a bargain... nice!
